ABOUT ME
I have been a private piano instructor for over 30 years and I’ve had plenty of experience working with students of all ages from beginner to RCM. I have earned my Associate Diploma for Intermediate Pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of Music and I am a part of the Milton Music Teachers Association. No matter who I’m teaching, I thrive on seeing my students grow and develop as they discover what they can achieve. I provide private lessons in your home or at the Roxy Centre in Acton.
I believe that music education is an enriching experience and a key component in a child's well-rounded education. I maintain that the positive effects learning a musical instrument has on a student's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development are invaluable. My teaching promotes independent learning and musical self-reliance and provides students with usable skills to build on the rest of their lives. At the very least, my goal is to impart the love of music to all my students so they may learn music enjoyably.
Milena's obvious love of piano and all music was evident when she taught two of my children to play piano. She is knowledgeable, talented, and encouraging. I am so excited that she is back to giving lessons after going on hiatus to raise her family.

LESSONS
Open Lessons:
Beginner to Intermediate students will learn keyboard familiarization, major and minor scales, Italian terms, practice pieces, seasonal pieces, and pieces of the student's choice.
Formal Lessons:
Grades 1-9 will follow the Royal Conservatory curriculum which focuses on major and minor scales, Hanon exercises, chords, arpeggios, and rhythms. Memorization of repertoire and study pieces for exam preparation.
